Breathe Owl Breathe to be at JRAC

Breathe Owl Breathe, Micah Middaugh and Andrea Moreno Beals will be once again be in concert October 7 at 7 pm at the Jordan River Arts Council, 301 Main St., East Jordan. This very creative duo present all original songs with thought-provoking lyrics sung in harmony.

This earthy Michigan duo with roots in independent, classical and traditional music, has cultivated a musical landscape that is at once playful and reverent, silly and heartfelt, mysterious and familiar. Middaugh and Moreno-Beals experiment with an array of stringed instruments, most notably the cello and guitar,plus the banjo and glockenspiel and vocal harmonies to texture their original songs. They were raised by rivers and gardens and their instruments tell the tales. They have traveled to cities and islands and their voices tell the tales.

They have performed throughout Michigan this past summer including Blissfest and The Traverse City Opera House. Their premier CD, “Breathe Owl Breathe”, and t-shirts designed and hand printed by Middaugh will be available for sale. Their second CD is in production with many of the new songs be heard in the performance. The concert is family oriented. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Suggested donation is $5.
