Jordan River Arts Council Annual Scholarship Exhibit 2007

The Jordan River Arts Council is pleased to announce their upcoming Annual Scholarship Exhibit, opening May 13, 2007 at the Jordan River Arts Council in East Jordan.

Each year the Arts Council has the honor of hosting several scholarships and awards available to High School Students. The Betty Ann Osborne memorial Scholarship for $1,500, The Pearl in Hand Scholarship for $1,000, The Huckle Award for $750, and up to three honorable mention awards for $100 each.

High School Juniors and Senior’s from the Antrim and Charlevoix counties will have the opportunity to exhibit and compete in this widely recognized show for talented youth. The Arts Council is very proud of the quality of this student show, and how it provides a great opportunity for individuals to help create reality in the dreams of up and coming artist.

Applications will be sent to the surrounding Art Educators and school counselors, and available on-line at the Jordan River Arts Council website www.jordanriverarts.org. The deadline for applications is April 20th.  Students can enter up to five of their best work to be judged by fiber artist Chris Allen-Wickler. The Awards Ceremony and Opening will be at the Jordan River Arts Center, 301 Main Street on Sunday, May 13th at 1p.m. and close on Sunday, May 27th.
