Rare Threads on the Fringe - Workshops and Exhibits

Calling all Artists!

Jordan River Arts Council (JRAC) is sponsoring its fifth fiber arts show. This one is called Rare Threads on the Fringe and will open Sunday, September 14, 2008 and close Sunday, October 12, 2008. On every weekend between those dates, workshops will be held on many aspects of fiber art (knitting, quilting, embellishment, quillwork and beading, to name a few). Area schools will be invited to participate in a fiber program as well. Now for your part! We invite you to dream up something very special for us! Think out of the  box and into our show. Open yourself to a multi-media, multi-faceted, unconventional,  whimsical and imaginative project on the Fringe. Because this will be a juried show, slides or photos (jpegs) and your entry form(s) need to be  received by July 14, 2008 along with the names of others involved in the project if it is a  collaboration.  Acceptance of the project will be announced by August 1, 2008. Pieces must be  available by August 25, 2008 for exhibition.

Your fiber art may be for exhibit only or for sale. Please be aware in pricing that JRAC will take  a 30% commission on the price you list.
