FIBER WORKSHOPS PRESENTED BY THE

JORDAN RIVER ARTS COUNCIL

 

Registration is now open for classes in the fiber arts through the Jordan River Arts Council. Classes and lectures in art quilts, beading, quillwork, knitting, dyeing techniques and the creative process will be offered at several area locations beginning October 8, 2010. October 8, 2010, 6-9 pm -- Breaking it Down and Putting it Together by batik artist and educator Elizabeth Abeel of Traverse City, Michigan

 

October 9, 2010, 9 am-4 pm -- Learn to See as an Artist Sees by Elizabeth Abeel

 

October 10, 2010, 9 am-4 pm -- Shibori by Stitching and Pleating by Gretel Geist Rutledge of East Lansing, Michigan.

 

October 16, 2010, 9 am-4 pm --Porcupine Quillwork Ornament by Yvonne Walker-Keshick of Pellston, Michigan.

 

October 17, 2010, 9 am-4 pm -- Beaded Brooch by Erika Faust of Levering, MI.

 

October 22, 2010, 6-9 pm -- Hangings by a Thread by Victoria Kelly of Baldwin, Michigan.

 

October 23-24, 9 am-4 pm  Impressionistic Fabric Art by Lenore Crawford of Midland, Michigan.

 

November 6, 2010, 9 am-12 noon -- Felted Patchwork Mittens by Julie Hurd of Bellaire, Michigan.

 

November 6, 2010, 1 pm-4 pm -- Mittens with a WOW Factor by Vivian Wanless of Grosse Ile, Michigan.
