Chuck Forman Retrospective

The Jordan River Arts Council announces the opening for the Chuck Forman Retrospective from June 4 through June 23. The opening reception will be held at the Art Center from 1-4 on Sunday June 4.

Chuck was a lifetime resident of Michigan. Before retiring to Rapid City in 1976, he worked as a commercial artist in the Detroit area.  After his retirement he became well known for his colorful, crisp, transparent watercolors, based on the natural beauty found in northern Michigan.    From 2000 to 2012 the Alden Bank commissioned Chuck to paint area landmarks for their calendars.

Chuck taught classes in watercolor, working with many area artists as well as providing instruction and inspiration to beginning students.

The Jordan River Arts Council, along with Chuck’s daughter Lana, are pleased to be able to present this outstanding exhibition of his work. There will be pieces for sale in a wide range of prices. The art center is   located in downtown East Jordan at 301 Main St., and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Please join us for this inspiring exhibition of Chuck’s work.
