100 Years- 100 Artists
Jordan River Arts Council Exhibit Opens
 
            The Jordan River Arts Council presents its first exhibit of the 2015 season. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Carnegie grant to build our historic building, this exhibit will feature 100 artists each exhibiting one piece of work. The art exhibited comes from area artists, East Jordan high school students, artists who are no longer living but whose contributions to the art council are still valued, works from our collection, and from board members and their collections.
            The work shown is equally varied. From large oil paintings,
watercolors, quirky assemblages, realistic and abstract drawings, pottery of all sorts, glass, a wide variety of fiber, there is art to captivate and intrigue any viewer.
            The exhibit opens Sunday March 1 with a reception from 1-4 pm.It will remain open through Friday March 20. Hours are from 1-4 on Tuesdays through Sundays. For a look at a wide variety of art created by an equally wide variety of artists as well as a chance to view proposals to improve and add to our historic building, make a point to see this exhibit.
