Artists Gathering Winter 2012

WINTER SCHEDULE FOR ARTIST GATHERING

Artist Gathering will continue during the winter— each Wednesday,January 11, 18, 25, February 1,8, 15, 22, 29, March 7, 14. The Gathering will meet from 1:00 to 4:00 each Wednesday. They will meet at the Jordan River Art Center in the lower gallery. Fresh flowers will be provided each week. All artists wishing to be together to participate are welcome. There is no fee or preregistration. On occasion mini-lessons may be presented by someone attending. Some videos may be shared. The JRAC art library is available for use. When the East Jordan Schools are closed so is the art center. It should be noted that the summer plein aire scheduled has already been planned. Karen K. will be prepared to give a ten minute mini- lesson on
painting a Floral Still Life this Wednesday. Next Wed Jan. 25th.--a
mini-lesson on painting a floral garden landscape . Remember that you
are welcome to take the fresh flowers home to paint. You just need to
return the vases to The Backdoor Florist within a couple of weeks.
Also, Karen has a video of Cheng-Khee Chee's water color painting
techniques, on loan from Ann Carolan. To anyone who may be interested
in this video, we will decide when or if we want to view it, & let you
know the time & date.
