Rare Threads - Eclectic Meanderings

See over 100 works of fiber art created by 50 artists at  Rare Threads-Eclectic  Meanderings.  This sixth juried art show hosted by the Jordan River Arts Council opens on October 3 at 1:00 pm.   On display are original clothing designs, a variety of vessels, beaded jewelry, pillows, dolls, and small to very large wall hangings.  Traditional quilted pieces, basketry, and knitting of fine workmanship sit next to surprising objects, like a seven-foot vessel woven of inner- tubes. There are 4 weekends of workshops, including a quillwork session taught by Owada elder, Yvonne Walker-Keshick.  Open daily from 1-4 pm until November 12.
